Filling the 5-minute gap in open data with on-the-ground input
Because open data refreshes every 5 minutes, it may not immediately reflect fast-changing situations like a performance ending, an accident, or a sudden event. PeoMap lets users tap an area marker on the map to directly report how crowded it feels on the ground. Reporting the same area is limited to once every 5 minutes (cooldown), and the most-selected level from reports over the last 30 minutes is shown as a "Citizen Report" alongside the map popup and cards.
