Privacy Policy

PeoMap ("the Service") values your privacy and complies with Korea's Personal Information Protection Act and related laws. This policy explains what information the Service collects, why, how long it's kept, and your rights as a user.
1Information We Collect
① Location Data (optional)
When you tap the 'My Location' button, we collect your current location (latitude/longitude) via your browser's Geolocation API. Location data is processed only on your device and is never sent to or stored on our server. Providing location is optional — core features like map browsing work fine even if you decline.
② Push Notification Subscription (optional)
If you opt in to notifications, we store your browser's Web Push subscription info (endpoint URL, encryption keys) on our server. This is used only to send notifications and contains no personally identifying information.
③ Favorites
If you're not signed in, your favorites list is stored only in your device's browser local storage and never sent to the server. If you sign in with a Google account, favorites are linked to your account and stored on the server (Supabase) so they sync across devices.
③-1 Google Sign-In (optional)
If you choose to sign in with Google to sync favorites, we receive and store your Google account's email, name, and profile photo. This information is used only to show your sign-in status and link your favorites — core features like map browsing remain fully usable without signing in.
④ Contact Content (optional)
If you leave a rating, feedback, or message on the Contact page, that text is stored. Contact info is stored only if you enter it yourself for a reply — otherwise your message is submitted fully anonymously. The Service never asks for your contact info upfront.
⑤ Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)
The Service may display ads through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads, which may include personalized ads based on your past visits. You can learn how Google uses advertising cookies at the Google Privacy Policy, and disable personalized ads via your browser settings or Google Ad Settings.

3Retention and Disposal
Push subscription info: Deleted from the server immediately when you turn off notifications or request unsubscription.
Location data: Never stored on the server, so no separate disposal process is needed.
Favorites: Kept in browser local storage while signed out, and removed when you clear browser data or uninstall the app. While signed in, they're stored on the server and deleted along with your account upon deletion request.
Google account info: Your account remains even after signing out; contact us via the Contact page if you'd like it deleted.
Contact content: Deleted within a reasonable period after review and response.
4Third-Party Disclosure and Outsourcing
The Service does not, in principle, share your personal information with third parties. However, Google's privacy policy applies when using the Google AdSense advertising service. Information may be disclosed where required by law or with your prior consent.
5Your Rights
You may exercise the following rights:
- Request to view your personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information (removal of push subscription info)
- Unsubscribe from notifications (via the in-app notification button or browser settings)
- Decline to provide location data (via browser permission settings)
